Swiss quality journals by physicians for physicians
Serious, useful, relevant to practice: expanding our offer and continuously improving our medical education journals «der informierte arzt» for general practitioners and «la gazette médicale» for general practioners and geriatricians in the French-speaking part of Switzerland has always been an enjoyment during the past eleven years of the publishing house’s history.
Every year, experts and general practitioners from the editorial board establish a list of relevant topics, which swiss opinion leaders and renowned specialists will be invited to comment. Incoming manuscripts as well as the entire journal issue are reviewed by members of the editorial board before being printed in Switzerland. Thus, our journals are high-quality continuing education tools, written by physicians for physicians, and in compliance with international ethical and professional standards as well as transparency principles.

On request of the authors, all articles submitted to our two journals for primary care physicians «der informierte arzt» and «la gazette médicale» are additionally reviewed by external reviewers (double blind peer review). Such articles are provided with a DOI number. All articles are provided with an abstract both in the original language (German or French) and in Englisch to facilitate visibility and access. This makes them even more valuable for authors and offers our readers additional quality assurance besides the CORE continuing education credits of the SGAIM.
